In a couple of threads people are bitching about the presale and so on. Then I read oh I didn't get night 2 but I have like 4 other shows. Give me a break. These venues Ed is playing is small. I was lucky and am going to DC 1. There are only 1800 seats in that theater so for arguments sake let's say this was for only 10 club members that would be 900 pairs. When a good, I would guess at least 5000 people trying to get them someone is going to be shut out. That is life.

I want to thank the 10 club for the work they do in trying to get as many people to see these shows as possible.

ditto. I don't think people fully realize how TINY these venues are....be happy with what you've got tickets for and if you struck out--don't worry-It'll work out!

yes indeed but the system they have is silly, the tickets are either there or they arent, trying to get tickets for and hour having them than not having them its crazy, Im getting older and sometimes just being told sold out is better than almost having them dangled over our heads.

and didnt I give you a pick at a show I forget.

    no more shows
  • I worship the 10c but I have an issue with ticketmaster. If it wasn't for ticketmaster the entire venue would be available to 10c members only.

I agree. I can't believe how people think the 10c owes them tickets.

i said it prior to the sale and ill say it again (especially after seeing all the people saying they got NO tickets), there is no need to see more than one of these shows and people are being fuckin selfish about going to as many as possible... im more than happy with my one show... maybe 2 shows in the same city is ok... but people traveling around like this is the grateful dead or something... come on... and anyone who has 1 show and is complaining they didnt get more can just shut the fuck up!

It's not like they purposely keep tickets back to throw us crazy. Shit happens. Tickets go back in the system throughout the hour after the initial sale. Credit cards don't work out... jackasses keep them in their cart for a while to be assholes (very few but I heard people say they did this)... Just at NYC 1, my card was charged for two orders. One of the orders went back into the system at around a half an hour after I purchased them. You'd rather them have eaten that set of tickets just so you can feel secure that they are in fact sold out? They say they are temporarily out of stock. At that point they are. Period. Every ticket is in someone's posession... however there is a small chance that something will happen for it to not be purchased. People refresh on the rare chance that one of these tickets will fall into their hands.

Why do people make out the 10c to be villains at every ticket sale?

See, I just assume that after the first minute, the tickets are for all intents and purposes gone. After that, a random pair might show up here and there when people's credit cards get declined or whatever, but getting those tickets would be a miracle. You make the choice whether to spend your time refreshing endlessly in hopes of that miracle. Honestly, when I didn't get either of the NYC shows within the first minute, I figured my chances of getting them were so slim it wasn't worth my time. (Fortunately, I managed to get Newark :) )

Re-read the threads from the last few days. Some people were lucky enough to secure a pair of tix over an hour or two after people had thought they were sold out. "Temporarily" means keep trying. If you want no chance of getting a pair then don't. I don't really care. That's up to you.

    ten club = grandness!

  • I just wonder when there are so few 10C seats available why they didn't limit it to only one pair per 10C member for the entire tour? Anyone else wonder that? And it's too bad that they can't find these small venues that aren't linked with TM or LiveNation somehow and sell ALL the tickets to 10C members. That would be sweet!
...And he who forgets will be destined to remember.

...I swear I never took it for granted. Just thought of it now.

I love 10c, but I have to wonder how many more members could've gotten tickets if they would have allowed single seat purchases. I realize for bigger venues on full tours that would be a logistical nightmare, but for a couple of hundred seats for EV's few dates it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
