    I'm just reading one book about them.. and I also recommend reading the book Please Kill Me. it has Ramones' early days as well as all punk. :D

    I like them and my old high school friend is probably the most devoted Ramones fan around. He turned from a jock to a complete Ramones fanatic in 8th grade. He's now know J-P Laitio-Ramone and he has written 2 books about them, has a Ramones web page and was flown to Joey's funeral by other fans.

    On the Road with the Ramones is definitely my fave book ever!
    its written by Monte(what a guy!)
    without Monte..the Ramones would be lost!

    it sounds really great! I love how all of the band members are so clearly different.
    I think one of the funniest things about them is that Joey "had to" become the singer cause Dee Dee couldn't play the bass and sing at the same time. :rolleyes: (if that of course is true though..)

    theres a very funny comic in their latest boxset "Weird Tales of the Ramones" aboot the band line up changes haha..hilarious.
    yep..its amazing how the band members hated each other yet they toured for like 22 years together..amazing what they do for music.
    all thanks to Monte i would say..he kept the band alive despite the very difficult and different personalities especially after Johnny(the kkk) took Joey's baby away lol.

    i downloaded sonic reducer with joey ramone......wow....best version of it...the band sounds so raw!!!
    and joey...well......

    love Johnny...but he was an asshole at times.
    he loved to pick on the roadies too and at times would tell the tour bus driver to bang down "niggers" though he was joking im sure...

    Dee Dee is my favorite..hes got such a huge personality!
    clips of him on the Ramones Raw dvd was abit sad though...clips of him being high in the morning n stuff.

    Monte was like his father on tour haha.
    Joey was a very sweet guy...noone could hate him...he had a very tortured soul too cos of Johnny stealing his woman...so bad it hurt him for more than 25 years.

    it's amazing to think all that could happen to anyone in real life. it's a total life-bigger-than-a-movie -case, the Ramones..
