I'll help you out! It's one of my favorites too and I just had the privilege of hearing it live in Las Vegas - thanks to Soon Forget. Awesome experience.
Thank U!~I want to realize brotherhood or identity not merely with the beings called human, but I want to realize identity with all life, even with such things as crawl upon earth.~

I still can't get enough of the song! I was at both Milwaukee shows and was surprised that they didn't play it at either show. I'm hoping to hear it one of the nights at the Gorge!Do you see the way that tree bends?
Does it inspire?
Leaning out to catch the sun's rays
A lesson to be applied

I'm in...Marker in the Sand is my favorite on the album.
By the way, isn't this verse:
Walking tightrope high,... Over moral ground
Seeing visions of,............. Before you burn them down
Do come round
Really this:
...walk the bridges first, before you burn them down
Thats what I hear when I listen.
Just wondering if I am a dork or notBe Sound...0 -

Just saw Marker for the first time in Vegas and it was amazing! Consider me an official member of the club.
It's definitely my favorite on an album full of close second faves (Inside Job and Gone are in the lead right now, with Army Reserve and Severed Hand right behind). The audience was VERY enthusiastic, in my opinion. As a matter of fact, all the new songs played that night seemed like well-loved friends.
Call me crazy but this is the first PJ song that reminds me of the Grateful Dead (Touch of Grey, specifically) and coming from an old Deadhead, I mean that in the best of ways. Boom rocks it in the end.0 -
can't stop listening to it, the whole disk, but that one specifically, definately my favorite0

After digesting the album for a couple of months, its topped Yield as my favorite. The Yield police will be out to get me for stating that but WWS, Parachutes, Come Back and MITS are some of the best songs PJ has ever put together, imo.
As for MITS, its probably my favorite PJ song of all time quickly moving into 'classic' status.0 -
