It is part of "South By Southwest" aka SXSW....its a very highly-regarded music conference/festival in Austin.....hundreds of band showcase there......music biz people from allover the world attend, so its a great way for REM to launch the new record.
My girlfriend is there, but I don't think she was able to get into the show.\\I think they play 1 hour.0 -

Thx, just what I needed right now

There should be a website that keeps track of all the livestreams being broadcast every day. Hard to keep track of all the music out there.Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0 -

They're gonna play Bad Day soon though. I certainly know that one. And I got the album with Nightswimming on it, but that's obligatory.Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0 -

I think it just rambles on, Bad Day is more more up-beat, up-tempo and anthemic. Not to say that slow songs are necessarily bad, Nightswimming is great for example.Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0 -

I totally disagree. I think Bad Day is a pretty cool song, although it is basically a re-tread of It's the end of the world as we know it....I think Leaving New York is a really moving song, and the vocal harmonies towards the end are vintage REM.0 -
cool, thanks for posting.

Nothing wrong with having two songs of that nature in your catalogue
