I have absolutely no idea... but they're not the only ones.
I'm also a poster on the 'Down boards' - the forums for the band Down. They too have never played Alaska and just like here, there is a campaign to get them there. However! The band themselves actually post and read their forums and they STILL haven't got the hint... so Good luck with getting PJ there. As much as I'd like to see the news of a date being played and to see all your happy, excited posts, unfortunately, I can't see it happening in the near future.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

On the next world tour it think it would be awesome if they played every state, at least once.

I second that. Alaska is unreal. I loved every minute of my time there, except for the 8 hours I spent puking on a deep sea fishing trip.

Don't forget Dutch Harbor. That was they could hitch a ride with the Hansen brothers on the F/V Northwestern.

Quote (by me) from another thread about selling 10C tickets to people who live in the area of the concert: "Whenever I see a suggestion about tickets to locals, I feel bad for Smokeabud in Alaska. He's been waiting for a show forever. What would his local show be?"

When I lived in Juneau there was rumors they were going to play in Sitka- never happened and doubt it ever was a thought but would have been cool. Would have to play Anchorage though. Unless Eddie would do solo gig and play at the Hanger in Juneau!
