you're correct but i thought we were talking about music. their music is quite different.0 -

yeah, and I only compare how he sounds vocally to Drake because to me his music sounds like a lot of people's. To be fair, I haven't given Jack Johnson enough of a listen to really judge but it certainly sounds like I've heard it all beforeI am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

Music that is "nice", "harmless", "inoffensive", I have NO time for that."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -
Jack is a great example of good marketting. You can even see it here.
He's cool , he an 'ex-srrfer, he's from Hawaii, he's buff, blah blah blah.
He's an adult male Britney, except she can sing better. Roots music, is like puck for stoned surfers. Anyone can do it, there is no entrty criteria of skill or musicianship, it's very egalitarian like that.
But it's BOING as fuck.
I caught Angus and Julia STone at a festival recently, cos I wanted a good spot for the following act, and they were so tragic it was pathetic. But there was a tent packed full of people hanign on every note, all three of them, while Julia drifted around the stage like the lonely drunk divorced girl at a wedding whipsering "I'm so wasted" over and over.
JJ is boring. I thoguht the R/V was great.
Mind you I saw a R/V of PJ conceret last year that said "wake up PJ fans, your clothes are smarter than you"Music is not a competetion.0 -
I think Jack Johnson is good for 1-2 songs on an iPod while you snooze in a hammock in the shade on a warm spring afternoon. Beyond that...meh.
He completely sold out the biggest venue in Atlanta here a few weeks back...I could've had free tickets and passed because I knew that 3 songs in I'd just go get drunk out of sheer boredom, and at $11 per Sweetwater 420 that would be an expensive evening.0 -

Hahaha... you just had a genious idea for a hilarious sketch of some kind.10c #TBD

How can someone hate Jack Johnson? lol
Of course a big part of his fanbase is kids...he did the Curious George soundtrack.
Every time he comes on the radio, Holden says Curious George!! No matter what song it is.
I like him.Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away0 -
haha i read this and while i agree with the guy the straight concert reviewers are a pretentious bunch of d-bags who think they are not only gods greatest gift to man but they think they used to write comedy sketches for SNL back in the 70s/80s when it was really really funny.{if (work != 0) {
work = work + 1;
sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
else if (work >= 0) {

work = work +1;
}system("pause");
return 0;}0 -
