  • the chorus from Fields of Gold by Sting

Surely it's too sedate to be annoying? Ah well, I like the song.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

    What a song.

And Mark, I agree, Fields of Gold is actually good. Sting is a cheesy tit I can't deny the quality of that song.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGQCteUJIQI - The Blizzards "Im A Doctor" - all over the radios in Ireland lately. shit song from an otherwise good enough band.

every single song ive ever heard by Bloc Party, The Enemy, The Horrors, and a long list of other identical UK bands which replicate the same irritating shit singing and shit lyrics and shit guitar. (note: not all UK bands - just those ones)

and finally, the worst song in world history is this abomination of noise by 2 legends:

the back & forth joking argument at the end literally makes me puke, shit and cry all at the same time.

Why must you be like that, guy? Is your own, presumably stunning, taste in music validated by rambling on about how other people don't live up to your incredible example? Does being an awful, elitist snob get you better tickets to shows? Or are you, in fact, just stupid enough to believe that liking a certain song makes you a better person than someone else?

    Good stuff........
