anyone here ever check out Dread Zeppelin? they're a Zep cover band who plays the songs reggee style and they have an Elvis impersonator singing! Robert Plant himself actually likes them. they're pretty cool if you like Zeppelin and want to hear their songs in a different light. i recommend giving them a listen.

    I thought they even took it a step further and sang Elvis lyrics or mixed them over Zeppelin's music. They did it with Black Dog I believe.

    Man, they are still around? I remember hearing about them in the mid 80's. they are an interesting listen for sure however it wore on me real quick.

    sometimes they do this but not often. i dunno about Black Dog, but they do incorporate some of Elvis' Heartbreak Hotel into Zep's Heartbreaker. it's basically the classic Heartbreaker riff with the Elvis lyrics.

    ahhh, ok, now I remember. they mixed Hound Dog in with Black Dog.

    having recently had a big fettish suddenly develop for reggae music, I can say I'm liking them.
