did the band ever play on mtv unplugged? i've read that they actually played but MTV refused to air the long awaited Soundgarden episode, because of "anti-commercial sentiments" that Chris Cornell supposedly made throughout the taping of the bands'set.

was this true?

    Soundgarden was the only band of the big 4 to never do a unplugged.

    I have heard the same, but find it hard to believe that it never surfaced or someone who attended has never come forward to confirm it. Would be f...ing sweet though!!!
