    I can read the subtext.

Good for you. Be sure to give us a proper review of the full "album" after it drops. Somebody has to listen to it and I'm despite being somewhat masochistic, I'm not putting myself through that kind of torture.

It's "Lighten up Francis"....one of my favorite movie lines of all time! JK I used that line on the CC board once and "someone" jumped all over me and said I was demeaning women by using the "lighten up" line, blah, blah, blah....jeez, I wish I could go back and pull up that thread for a good laugh! Anyhow, I then informed "someone" that I was of the female persuasion.....and "someone" STILL found a way to get all over my shit! And BTW, "real" street teamers are not allowed to have any opinions or a sense of humor.....don't you know that by now? Not that I'm saying searchlightsoul is a street teamer.......

  • I just noticed something about the main picture on the Cornell fansite:

"Oh, hello! You just caught me checking my e-mails on the NEW BLACKBERRY!"

Holy shit... how camp is that photo?

That is so heinous! And I just saw the Timbaland/Pussycat Dolls thing for the first time too. Awful. I'm going to have to listen to Superunknown just to remind myself that he really was GREAT.

beat it streetteamer! without his voice he is nothing. get a clue.

shove ya street teamer americanism up your arse !! i have probably forgotten more about music than you know .

it was merely a suggestion as to why the change of tack in chris cornell's career !! .

you dont agree , well big up to you sunshine !! that's your choice .

he certainly does not sound like the pipes can handle the soundgarden stuff over the last couple of years , that style of singing cannot carry on forever .

thanks for cutting me down without knowing me !! i would not do the same to you .

I have to disagree with you regarding his 'pipes not being able to handle the Soundgarden stuff'-I've saw him on tour last year several times and his vocals were amazing. He blew everyone away!!!
That's what sucks about the new stuff--His vocals on these new tracks are wasted and buried in over production.
  • Did anyone else notice that the giant Timbaland head above Chris made him look like a stringed puppet? The music isn't what his camp has been cracking it as. It probably had potential in the beginning but it's over saturated and it just sounds like a greedy trainwreck. Not only has he abandoned his key fan base but now he's trying to prevent them from having a place to artistically evaluate what he expects them to consume. That just makes him look ashamed of what he's doing.

If he can't even go out and dance around and loosen up to his own music then how in the hell does he expect any of us to?

You know it's bad for him when he looks that awkward in his own material and then gets shown up by a bunch of pussycats. He just looked so out of place that I almost felt sorry for him.
  • I'm speachless.
Are Scream-Chris and Badmotorfinger-Chris the same person??
I don't ask myself who this new man is but who the other was!
So, which Chris is the real one?
I ask me if he knows what we think and if he reads what we write (or tried to write on his site)...

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!!!!!????? :( :(

I wonder what PJ think of all this.
What the fuck is this world?
  • if the guy wants to make a shitty record, its a bummer and a travesty for someone of his talent but it doesnt hurt anybody.

the stuff going on with the street team, how certain people feel they can treat other people because they are 'bigger fans' of cornell is absolutely disgusting. and that cc doesnt give a shit about something he could easily stop is the mark of a coward. piss poor show all round.

Out of all the hundreds of reasons to be sad, angry, shocked, ashamed, etc., about this whole situation, the one thing I keep coming back to is… last year, at the Salt-Lake City show, my wife jumped on stage and rushed CC. She was promptly escorted off stage by security but in that brief moment, when she was inches away, she could have stabbed him.

Think of all the needless suffering she could have prevented. If I only knew then what I know now…
