Guns and Roses are playng in my country at this moment!!!!its being transmited in tellevision!!!!

AXL voice is DEAD i cant beleive this shit!!!!

I watched the show again and if you had the same feed I did, you may have thought his voice was dead because of the audio problems. He would be singing and then he would dissapear, that was because of the horrible mixing job not his voice being dead. His voice isn't what it used to be, he is 44 afterall, but he is better than what I heard last night. It was amazing during Live and Let Die during a big scream I could see Axl giving it his all and you couldn't even hear him, I still can't imagine how the audio was fucked up so badly last night.

It was just aweful. I only saw the first songs, then I had to turn it off, it was too bad. That wasnt music, it was noise! That show was more of fireworks and lightning than music..
I'm very dissapointed.. he ruined the songs.

Just watched a couple of songs from Rock In Rio on aol's video section, his voice really isn't up to much these days, maybe it was an off day....

I think it was an off-day

Plus they played Spain the night before, I think

Either way, I watched this performanc live through AOL, and I was astounded at Axl's personality more than anything. His voice sounded tired, but he certainly tried. His attitude was unreal. The fucking guy almost seems.....dare I say it - Happy? He was joking around with the crowd,
and had great chemistry with that band. I feel good that this time he's back on a mission and will deliver this album

One more thing, even though his voice was not great last night, those people got a hell of a show
    I'll keep taking punches
    Untill their will grows tired

Maybe he realises that some fans are actually still around and waiting for the new album?!! :D
Although most have drifted into Velvet Revolver these days, but I'm definitely interested to see what these new songs sound like.

Did they play any new songs in Rock in Rio?
Yes the studio can certainly make things sound much better than they actually do! :p The ability to tighten up vocals and sounds is something Axl probably likes! ;)

So what did the new songs sound like? Obviously the sound was crap but could you tell through that?

The new songs have been all over the net for months now, heres Better(ignore the video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5Cro8_WhgE

IIRC they played Better, IRS and The Blues at RIR but don't judge the songs from that show, find the demos or ones from NYC.

Heres a note from GNR's manager about why Lisbon sounded the way it did-

Merck Mercuriadis has checked in with us again to update us on Guns' tour.

    He says Axl and co. had fun yesterday in Lisbon, despite there being a few problems. He tells us;

"Overall it was an amazing night and an amazing crowd but we had problems with the band's monitor desk blowing up and there were many times that they could not hear. Axl had a muscle spasm probably caused by the slippery stage wings that slowed him down and gave him a lot of pain and he is working with a specialist in Milan to get through it. It was a really fun show and could have been worse all things considered and we're lucky we didn't cock it up any worse than we did."

LOL at the monitor desk blowing up :D Guess that wouldn't have helped things :)
I'm resisting listening to the new songs for now. ;)
