saw them at Bonnaroo last Friday -- got a real awesome spot at the Which Stage!! -- and they freakin rocked! A great introduction to the band for me.

The Company I Keep
Dead Drunk & Naked

Ghost to Most
Lookout Mountain
Steve Mcqueen
18 Wheels of Love
Surprised we didn't get Zip City or Women Without Whiskey. I can't argue though - hell of a show. You got a couple of tunes from Gangstabilly.
Front row is definitely the place to be - that was great... but my ears are still ringing at 10:30 AM the next morning - next time: ear plugs.
The ride back to L.A. was fine, but the eyes started getting heavy the last half hour or so... but we made it just fine...
Add in The Tough Sell between Self Destructive Zones and Where The Devil Don't Stay, and it looks about right. That was a hell of a show, Patterson was definitely fired up for a rock show, no slow songs for him. And yeah, I got my Gangstabilly tunes. First time I've heard 18 Wheels live, and Steve McQueen was the icing on the cake. The encore order was
Ghost to Most
18 Wheels of Love
Lookout Mountain
Steve McQueen
Even with the earplugs, my ears are ringing a bit. Kids still got me up early (7:30), and my son is running around the house in his new DBT shirt.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
the calgary show was short but sweet.. it was hot out with a bit of a breeze... perfect festival weather.
only songs i really remember.. the man i shot, puttin' people on the moon, im sorry houston, ronnie and neil!, let there be rock
i guess they barely made the show.. had to haul ass overnight to make it from vancouver... but im glad i finally got to see em... hopefully they realize the fans they have here and come back for their own show!

did anyone else catch any of the canadian shows?
Glad you got to see them.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
Just saw these guys for the first time last night.
Holy fritting shick, they rocked hard. Aside from PJ, I've never seen a band take such primal joy from playing loud rock music, and playing it well. Also, as a huge Cooley fan, my brain was literally melting from hearing Where The Devil Don't Stay, Ghost To Most, Women Without Whiskey, Zip City and Three Dimes Down in my very first show.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

Welcome to the club.... Yes, The Stroker Ace (Cooley) seriously ROCKS!!!

I bought BTCD and tbh, I didn't think that much of it, apart from A Ghost To Most which is an absoutley incredible song. I'll give the album another listen or two.

That's quite the combination from Cooley there... He's unapologetically badass...
Going to see them tomorrow at a free festival at Venlo (Netherlands) . Don't know them really well, but everyone here seems very positive (and its free anyway :P) They play tuesday in Amsterdam as well, so if I really like it, I can see DBT twice in 3 days :P

Patterson talks about the direction of the country.
I wish it were longer than :30 seconds. He doesn't get a chance to go further on the issues or what he thinks about the candidates...not that I'd base my vote on his opinion, but I am curious as to what he thinks.

I'm gonna see 'em again at the Moon up in Tallahassee on Sunday. Hope they keep to their word and keep it interesting (setlist-wise). Still waiting to hear Sinkhole and Loaded Gun in the Closet, plus many others. Right now, I can't seem to get enough of Self-Destructive Zones. Damn catchy tune.
