Veto power proves nothing. I'd rather play a home game in the cold than a neutral game in warm weather. It's still no indication of how well the sox would travel.
they opted to NOT have the game in milwaukee when the league and brewers projected crowds in excess of 30k per game. these would have been weeknd games in a dome 90 miles from comiskey park.

Just because you say it doesn't mean I have to believe it. The epistemology is unsound here. These weren't tickets sold; this is some projection of uncited and nebulous origin. The fact of the matter is that the White Sox don't travel like the Cubs do. Just look around the league. Look at a Cubs vs. an any-other-team-in-the-league game against the White Sox vs. Twins or White Sox vs. Indians. Just look at the make up of the crowds. There are many places where the Cubs have an athmosphere like it's a home game only on the road. Name one place where the White Sox have that. Just one. Can't do it, because it isn't there.

I'll put this as simply as I can.

Fact: There are more Cubs fans than White Sox fans.
Opinion: Those Cubs fans are better fans.
Fact: The Cubs travel better than the White Sox
Opinion: White Sox fans don't use good reasoning to support their arguements.

Again, the Indians VETOED having the sox series moved to Milwaukee. Thier team officials did so on PROJECTIONS from MLB AND the brewers. Said projections were in the 30-40k range. Sox officials had the press releases and ticket sales emails ready to go.(I know this becuase I'm a sox seaston ticket holder, and was told so by my ticket rep). In the end, teh indians preferred to have a small crowd instead of giving home field advantage to thie rrival. They PREVENTED what happened to the Astros.

Btw, the astros were screwed because of thier owner, who insisted on getting those games playe din houston when they coul d have used non-cubs market sites(tampa and LA for example). The Indians made the call about the sox series with more than enough time to get both teams on a plane to cleveland.

p.s. happy anniversary. Someday, you'll go all the way. just not in your lifetime.
