Belle and Sebastian with The New Pornographers!

I'm stoked I'll get to see the NP finally...their last show in Minneapolis got cancelled. Also, seeing B&S should be swell and well...although i've only heard a little of their stuff, they sound solid and should be a great band to see as well. Also the fact that they're playing a sweet opera hall here in MN sweetens the deal :D

    From the way I understand it, it sounds like the New Pornographers are Belle and Sebastian's "guests".

    Yeah the New Pornographers are opening. No Atlanta Date though. I missed belle & sebastion last time they toured the US becasue i had to work and now there is no atlanta date :(

    It will be a great show for those that can go.

    $35 a pop tickets to the DC show from what I heard, insane price for two 'indie' bands. I will make every effort to get up to one of those two DC shows though, this is the biggest US tour the New Pornos have done, so I would hate to see what a 'normal' tour for them is like, NYC, Chicago, LA and done?

    Ticket Prices seem to be going quite high 35 is a little high, but most venerable indie bands are charging 20-30 for a ticket.

    I forget how much my ticket to see sigur ros was but it was quite expensive.

    at least you get two good bands and it seems belle & sebastion never tour the states so i would not let the price hold you back.

    That hurts. It would be an interesting experience to hear her songs with another female vocalist, but at the same time it would completely suck not having her there.

    But given that they hardly ever do decent sized US tours(and apparently B&S do it even less frequently), this is still a show that is hard to pass up.

    I saw the NP on their last tour (and luckily with Neko Case) and they were brilliant!

    I'm sad that they aren't coming anywhere near me. I'd love to see B&S.

    NP = the catchiest pop music that you just can't turn away from :)

    Both of the DC shows were sold out by 11:30 this morning, probably sold out in minutes, I just didn't check until 11:30.
