what's your favorite ride at Disney World?

it can be at any of the parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, etc. but mine always has been, is, and always will be the Haunted Mansion. if I'm blessed with enough money one day, I'd build an exact replica of it and live in it. needless to say, everyone would vote to have Halloween parties at my house every year. but man I love all the other rides too. I've been there at least 100 times in my life. I haven't been there in almost 7 years now; this is the longest I have been away from it. it'll be cool to see what all they've done whenever I get to go back.

There is no, nor has there ever been, or ever will be, a better ride than the teacups.

    YES.

And... Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. I went with a group of friends my senior year of high school and I think we went on that ride at least four times.

The last time I went, I think I liked the Aerosmith coaster and Expedition Everest the best.

I'd have to go with the Aerosmith Rock n Rollercoaster.

Of course since Mini Ponci arrived on the scene, I've been restricted to the tamer rides the last 2 trips, his favorites last fall were Buzz Lightyear and the Dumbo ride.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Tower of Terror is great, and I actually think the Mummy roller coaster is fun. It's campy and quick, but entertaining.

Despite the lame pre-ride set-up, the Aerosmith coaster was cool.....Expedition Everest had way too long of a line to consider last time I was there. I do love the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Tower of Terror is awesome, as is the Aerosmith ride...
Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion--my dad doesn't do rides, so whenever we went as a family, we would go on these together--great memories and look forward to it every time!

Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Caribbean. I get motion sickness so that limits what I can do and can't do.

Pirates of the Caribbean. I think my family made me go in 10th/11th grade, and I spent all day on this ride and in the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. :)

I haven't been to Disney World yet but if we move to Florida, I'll go for sure. :)

  • Never been to Florida, but I have a strange love for Soaring Over California at California Adventure.

At Disneyland... I guess Space Mountain. I haven't been since they changed Pirates into Depp-land but I used to like it.

that's a great one too. but it seems like every time I was there, they would close it even if there was a chance of rain and we'd have to keep coming back to check if it was up and running again. and the line was always too damn long.

I'd go with Pirates and Haunted Mansion as well. Only been to Disneyland (annual passholder). If we were to add rides that no longer exist, I'd add the People Mover and Journey through Inner Space to the list.

There's two excellent books out on them that provide a good history of the creation of the rides:

    Haunted Mansion: http://www.amazon.com/Haunted-Mansion-M ... 385&sr=1-4

    Pirates of the Carribean: http://www.amazon.com/Pirates-Caribbean ... 385&sr=1-5
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
