First off, I'm very sorry if I'm treading old ground here. But I've just read the book again, for the first time in about 10 years!
I know Eddie's said many times that this book by Daniel Quinn was a big inflence on him during the writing & recording of 'Yield', but having not read the book for a while, I'd forgotten just how apparent the inflence is.
The themes of the book come out particularly in tracks like 'Faithful', 'Given To Fly' & of course 'Do The Evolution'.
Just wondering if anyone else out there has enjoyed the book and what other reflections of it's themes appear on 'Yield'.
If you haven't read the book, it's well worth picking up in my opinion. Also the other books in the trilogy - 'The Story of B' & 'My Ishmael'.
PS:
Happy New Year to you all. It's my first post of '09!!!
And Happy Chinese New Year too!!!
