I love 'Evenflow' but...

I can do without Matt's drum solo.

I'm sure that this has been brought up before but I'm sorry. That upsets me. Give me Mike McCready's solo and that is it. I love Matt Cameron but it has to go.

My opinion, if Mike can have a bit of fun why not let Matt have some too? I play the drums myself so I suppose I could be bias. But I will say one thing, if Mike is going to continue soloing then for god sakes mix it up some....enough of the note holding ....move those fingers!!!

I have to respectfully disagree. Although many here know Matt is not my favorite drummer ever, I love the way the drum solo allows them to get away from the song and then bring the other instruments back into it for the "grand finale" so to speak.

No way! Matt's drum solo is the best thing about Even Flow these days.

Damn straight! Mike's solos on the 06 tour for eveflow were... uninspired. No feeling to them. No some of his Alive and Black solos on the other hand were stellar. Still love him :)

Oh and Matt's solos are cool. I love the transitionback into the song. That's killer!
  • The song isn't that great, I have no idea why IT is a stape at every show and something like 'Alive' isn't.. it's not logical.

Also, I play the drums. Drum solos suck.

I don't really care one way or another. I've heard e-flow so many times, anything they can do to change it up is alright with me.

    I enjoyed it a lot.
Even Flow is my pee break song and the drum solo made it even longer.
Most of the time I can run to the bathroom and then get (2) more beers before the song even ends.
    Perfect.

I can do without it too. The drum solo makes the song antique.

the Even Flow live performance is becoming cliche'. Time to shelf it for at least one tour. Bring back DEEP and speed it up!

My theory on this is: I've heard Evenflow played so many times, I don't care what they do. I'm not bagging on the song, or saying they shouldn't play it -- I'm just saying it doesn't matter to me.

Let Matt have his solo. Give Boom an organ break. Play the entire second verse on kazoo. I don't care.

I've heard the song hundreds of times. Play it however you want now.

The song is great, Mike's solos are great, Matt's solos are great... but sometimes you can have too much of a great thing. It's hard to keep it fresh when you're playing it at every show, and I think it loses some of its value.

I think it's fun when Matt does that. Everyone else in the band usually gets their moment to shine, let Matt have one too.

  • Now this pisses me off. I have considered bringing an even flow sign to all my shows but I am not that way.
It was the only song I yelled for generaly. Dissing even flow is not cool.
On touring band 2000 I am the guy in the white shirt for even flow. I can also be seen on the garden DVD for even flow.

What you people need to realize is there is someone at that show who will only see that show in their life. And it is clearly a highlight.

Please play even flow 2 times a night at my shows. thank you

the more extended the better also
