I need some help, I downloaded the Detriot and Grand Rapids shows in MP3 format, then when I try to burn them it says, "this is not an audio file", I've tried Nero, EAC, and Sonic. any clue why this is happening? Thanks!

They are deffinately MP3 files and not MPG files?

Oh I see, you probably want to convert them to WAV first if you plan on playing it in a CD player, or if you just want the MP3 files, or if you have an MP3 compatible CD player, just copy the files as normal data files.

E.g. in Nero, create a new data cd and just add the MP3 files. No need to specify it as an audio cd

see thats were the problem lies, even windows media play can't read them as MP3's, they are labeled mp3's, but they aren't! So even if I put them on a data cd I'm guessing my cd player, even though it can read mp3's, wouldn't be able to read it!

So, you can't play them at all?

  • Did anyone d/l the christmas singles from army reserve blogspot.com? I did, but i can't burn them. They are mp3.rar files. I need to convert them to wav files, but i don't know how. I d/l'd one converter, but it can't find the files when i try to use it. I'm confused. Someone told me that i had to find one that will read winrar files. Don't know if they know what they are talking about though. Any advice?

Well, I downloaded one of the tracks and it wouldn't play in MPlayer or Winamp. I tried importing it to CoolEdit Pro and it was just a single tone.

It would seem to me that the files are..... corrupt!!
