    I don't have cable or HBO, can you give a brief summary?

    Is it about adoption and human trafficking, or something similar?

    It's about human trafficing due to the one child per family law and the inability to obtain birth permits(and thus birth certificates) for children violating these laws,when the parents are unable to pay the fine. It's quite sad seeing children being sold from families that actually want them but can not afford the fine.

    Yeah, it is sad. I guess they didn't think about other side causes that might effect their people when they established that population control policy.

    how much do they sell the kids for? and where does the money go?

    do the families get the money, or does the government?

    the families got part of it...but the trafficer gets a large percentage. cost wasn't mentioned in us dollars...but a boy went for est. 10,000...and a girl est. 6,000. :(
