Why is Jason Kidd on this team? Paul + Williams is more than enough at PG

Bosh is a wimp, Howard has to bring it, cause we are soft inside

Also Kobe, Lebron, Anthony...talented, but last I checked they all wanna be the man

This team could win it all, also could be ugly

Should have left Kidd home and taken another big man like Tyson Chandler. I wish Amare wasn't trying to rest his knee. He would have been the perfect addition.

The selected team has a lot of scorers, but I could see how a player who has a good mid-range and 3-point jump shot could be needed. Another athletic big man could also help out.

I don't really think any player got snubbed. I think a lot of it came down to who the coaches thought would make the most cohesive team. When it comes down to replacing an All-Star with an All-Star, I don't think it's fair to say someone was snubbed. If a player wasn't picked because the coaches just don't like him, then maybe you've an argument but I doubt that happened.

Paul Pierce, not on the team? He proved in the playoffs that he is a clutch player, go figure.

agreed. although Boozer is perfectly capable of playing C, they are definitely lacking in the depth there

I assume the coach must plan on running some small ball because here's what the depth chart would be for the 4 and 5:

    Boozer/Bosh
    Howard

I definitely would have cut Kidd and brought along one more big man. Worst comes to worst with an injury to CP3 or DW, just put Wade at the point

either way, i just hope no injuries happen that'll affect the players and their teams for the 08-09 season
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable
  • international ball is much different than the NBA. While in the NBA the big man can usually dominate, the international game is much more focused on sharp shooting and cut down defense.

We have made adjustments on this team to better ourselves for this. I think we should be in a much better position to bring home the gold. We'll shoot the ball well, have the big men we need for rebounds, but have a much better defensive team this year. Prince was a great addition in that aspect.

    I guess we'll see...

  • Paul, Williams, and Kidd will be the reason we will gold this year.

Argentina will be winning again the gold medal, they just have a lot of love for their country. I hope the US takes it seriously so we can see some great basketball.
