Fine you wanna get released and go play somewhere else. Go for it and all the best. The Packers have moved on and so should you.

    Hahahahaha, good for him!

It's not unexpected though. If he does come back and play another year or two...and wants to win he's better off elsewhere.

People of Wisconsin have to be bitter about this though.

I'm just so sick of hearing about him. Either go back to playing or don't. BUt make up your mind and have a press conference to tell everybody what you are doing.

I used to like him and think he was one of the best QB's to play the game but all these rumors the past few seasons are really getting old.

It's more of just enough of this shit with Brett. He's been pulling this crap for 3 yrs.

IMO one of the best QBs ever. But it's time to let it go.

    Favre is overrated.

I'm so happy his last pass (at least as a Packer) landed into the hands of a NY Giant.

As a diehard Packers fans, I am completely saddened. The Packers screwed this one up and should have let him come back no questions asked. Fck Aaron Rodgers. I know Favre said he was done, but that's because the organization rushed him again. Now he's going to play elsewhere, are you kidding me? He needs to be in GB and Thompson should get off his ass and fly down there and beg for forgiveness. If he winds up in Minnesota or Chicago, I'll shoot myself.

Ok I'm didn't start this thread so you call rip on his pics and stuff. It's about him not being able to make up his fucking mind. Deep down and don't lie most of you would love if he was your QB. He brought excitement to the game. With him you had a Chance of winning or loosing. I'm one of the biggest Packer fans no doubt. But I'm so sick of this shit with him. He can't let it go. The Packers have moved on and he should also. Were ready for Rodgers to come in and give it a shot. We have one of the best groups of wide recievers. I still like our chances.

id rather see grossman throw another 50 interceptions than see the bears take favre... and "fuck aaron rodgers"? hes probably been working his ass off all offseason getting ready and then favre just decides now that he wants to come back... fuck favre... hes done... and hes managed to completely tarnish his reputation... worst decision since MJ going to the wizards

I'm sorry but fuck Brett for pulling this shit. It's his fucking ego that is to blame. I love the man but enough of this.

He has his mind made up. He wants to still play. Lets face it, the interceptions are the reason he won't be back.

90% of Bears fans with a brain in their head would love to have him. All the Bears have been missing the past 5 years is a QB. They probably would have two championships if they had any QB whatsoever.

That said, the Packers wont let him go there if they can help it.

Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Chiefs, Atlanta.

    Those are his only choices.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

I just can't see him learning a whole new system at this point of the year (preseason is in August). He's old, I'm the same age and would not want to learn a brand new job. I'm torn that he would leave the Pack but if he wants to play and they don't want him what else can he do? Would he be a back up in GB? Is that even an option? There are a lot of thoughts going through my head right now. I love Brett and he has done great things for GB and the state and the fans. I just wish he hadn't of retired but we don't really know the politics of the team. I don't think we can blame all of this on Brett. It should be interesting to see what happens. I'm not even sure what I want to happen. I certainly don't want him in Chicago or Minnesota.

Especially crazy if he managed to pull down one more ring with another team.

he really should just stay retired, being released and going to another team will juts tarnish his rep unless he wins another super bowl.

    We'll take him! :D

Me along with about 3 million Chicagoans would gladly pay his salary out of our pockets if it means a Chicago Super Bowl next year..

Immagine and eat that Packers fans! How bittersweet it would be. :D:D:D

Yeah, no one can help yall that much. First of all, he is overratted. He's got amazing talent and is exciting, but I've seen him lose many games from just throwing it up.

That being said, I still tend to root for him when they aren't playing the Cowboys, and I don't even like the Pack. And I don't think he should go anywhere else. I mean, they had a really good team last year and most superbowl contenders already have a qb. Who does Baltimore have now.... probably nothing.

He needs to know when to walk away, which would be now. I think if he changes teams and has to learn a new system he is going to blow and we tarnish his legacy. C'mon Brett, don't end your career like Marino.

Not shocked he wants to come back, GB has a good team, but he's done. Look at his last pass...

LMAO time to move on? Dude he led you guys to the AFC Championship, it's fucking ridiculous that GB doesn't want him back.

Even though I despise Green Bay...and as much as it pains me to say it...it's be all for him in a Bears uniform. I know kill me, but Brett Farve is a legend and one of the best in the game.

Just watched a bit of ESPN and the NFL channal on what everyone else is saying. It has really hit me now that he will be playing somewhere else this season and not in GB. He can't go back to the Packers and for sure won't. It is a no win situation for the Packers. He wants to play so they must release him. I'm mad and sad at the same time. Just thought this would never happen with him. Best of luck Brett and thanks for the memories.

No matter where he goes, I hope he remains in the NFC North. The Bears have owned him the last few years and I love it.
