I've just found out that PJ few years ago opposed Bush politics, when people in USA agree with the president (about war in Iraq). I thought - well, I can't believe, there are people who can see clearly, such as from a distans.
I have to admit it, i'm sorry, big sorry, but I thought, that USA nation has this kind of patriotism, that need to believe they are special and their way is to safe the world from himself. And the band, who I listen is diffrent (with a few other people in United States). Sure, I was thinking wrong - don't ever evaluate, if U don't go further (that's my lesson).

I still don't understand, how can The Head Of Your Country think about the war, when so many Americans are starving and don't have home becouse of tornado...

But, well, U've got better constitusion. We can't say bad things about our president -one homeless man lately was charged with contempt the president (forgive me, I hope U understand, what I mean)

Stop war without a war

We all should care about the peace

Poland. I mean - we can say funny things about president, we can disagree with him, but do some things with his mask such as EV - well, U would have a problem with lawyers

Maybe Ed has a problem with lawyers over that mask that we don't know about, those type of lawsuites are very frequent and not very relevant since you pay a little many and everything is settled...
edit: Im sure EV has a problem with lawyers over that mask and many other things he does...

  • I don't think PJ saw that Iraq war was wrong will end bad for USA. I think PJ is against any war which is, I think, more virtuous than being against Bush or Iraq war. so in the end, if you can stand up against any kind of war that is waged for any reason, you wouldn't be a precognitive person but instead just a man who holds to his principles.
    Just my thoughts

and yet somebody told me how, as a us citizen, they are truly free... me, without a gun, I'm simply a subject

How can that be... when I could wear a mask taking the piss OUT of my Taoiseach (primeminister) or my president in front of them... and not be charged with anything? So who's free and who's a subject?

    Absolutely agree.

There's a comedy group in Austria that puts on puppet shows 'starring' our politicians. They are very - uhm, let's say direct - sometimes even quite obscene and what happens is that the portrayed politicians go there and laugh their well-paid behinds off instead of suing. If you are elected for office you have to be able to take some piss. If you have to run to your mommy (lawyer) everytime someone is mean to you *sarkasm alert*, you're just not cut out to do the job

The Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper appeared on the Rick Mercer report a comedy show in Canada. He's still a douche, but at least he didn't run and hide.

As for the starving and homeless Americans well that is a great question that most Americans have questioned since Katrina but obviously the Bush Administration cares more about the oil in Iraq. However to be honest there have been starving and homeless Americans well before Katrina and well before Bush became President. Many Americans have questioned for many years why the US government gives billions of dollars in foreign aide before taking care of it's own first.

Americans were divided over the Iraq war from the beginning including on this very board. There were heated debates at that time. Many Americans questioned the Iraq war because it really didn't make any sense. However many supporters believed the lies and still had fears after 9/11. Now many of those supporters have realized it was a mistake and a very big one.

Ed was never charged for wearing the mask and I never heard of any problems that occurred that he needed lawyers for wearing the mask. The only grief that I heard about was from Pearl Jam fans that are also Bush supporters. You can buy a Bush mask in any store that sells costumes in the US. And yup you can wear them too lol. That mask is a lot scarier than any Jason, Michael Myers or Freddy Kruger or any mask out there lol.

Well i feel the same about starving people
About EV - that's what I thougjt: if He had any problem with the lawyers, I guess, the USA (and then all world) would know about it.
    Thanks for answer

:D Good one, thank you. I try to watch the new season of the Mercer Report online, but I'm missing a lot of the old stuff.

I had to do a presentation about Canada a few weeks ago and used a lot of clips from the Mercer Report (and other Canadian shows and movies). Most people in the class didn't believe it was really Harper when I played the sleepover clip. I don't think we could do something like that in Austria because our politicians wouldn't be quick witted enough ;)

I have CBC on my rabbit ears, but I don't know what time it's on, so I've only ever seen clips on youtube. Where do you watch the mercer report?

Let's just say there are some nice people on livejournal who supply people outside of Canada with such things as the Mercer Report, Corner Gas, Rent A Goalie, Billable Hours and the likes ;) I think you can watch most of the Mercer Report on the CBC page though.
