I always roll my eyes at any statement that starts out "The same people who were...", because it's usually an extremely over-simplified generalization.
But on a more specific note, the same people (Clinton and her camp) who at the beginning agreed with and supported not allowing the Michigan and Florida votes to count, are now clamoring for them to count.unsung wrote:Vote for a non-Dem. Yeah... screw the rules that the Michigan & Florida democratic party knowingly and willingly violated. If these past 8 years have shown us anything, it's that accountability is pretty much gone in this country. My whole life

Exactly. And while you're at it, cut off your nose to spite your face.."When all your friends and sedatives mean well but make it worse... better find yourself a place to level out."0 -

.
Yes. And four years from now there would be absolute chaos with states deciding they will vote whenever the hell they want. Fuck the rules. They aren't binding anyway, right?
Furthermore, with all the disenfranchisement talk about those people in FL an MI who voted, what about all the others who would have vote, who would have loved to vote, but didn't because they were told it wouldn't matter anyway? What about them? By counting the results exactly as they stand, don't you, actually, disenfranchise those voters not once, but twice?"When all your friends and sedatives mean well but make it worse... better find yourself a place to level out."0 -

it's selfishness to continue and not start backing Obama. she's hurting the democrat party.
Florida and Michigan's votes would still not give Hillary enough if counted, in Michigan she almost lost to uncommited voters. Hillary didn't win by enough of a margin in either state to make up the ground she is losing by.
It's over... she should do the right thing
The right thing is a matter of perspective. I wish Al Gore had been more like her in 2000. I don't buy the narrative that she is hurting the Democratic party. At this point it is good for democrats in Montana, Dakota and Puerto Rico to participate.
My overall take is that this primary has been good for the Democratic party, though I tend to be a little contrarian.0 -
It's just laughable how ridiculous some people can be. We always want the votes to count...(when it suits our political need at that time). If this same situation were happening with Obama, people would be up in arms yelling for the votes to count. Blows my mind.

After NC/ IN she knew that she had lost. If you haven't noticed, she is no longer being negative and no longer attacking Obama. Because she realizes that she has lost, but she is just going to let the remaining states vote because they are registering record numbers of Democrats in ever state they go to. Her being in still, as long as she is not being negative, is a good thing for the Democrats.
As soon as the last states vote, the superdelegates will fall in line, and she will exit politely. All the rusted signs, we ignore throughout our lives, choosing the shiny ones instead...
And he who forgets, will be destined to remember...0 -
If it were anyone but Obama, Hilary would have conceded the race. Her EGO wouldn't let her quit, she wants the party to make her get out so she can save face for losing to a black person. That goes to show you how much she gives a damn about the democratic party or its voters.
The superdelegates need to grow some and put a stop to this mess and unite the party for its upcoming battle for the White House.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0 -

More likely, if the roles were reversed, Obama would have dropped out - or been forced out - after losing 11 primaries in a row after Super Tuesday. If he didn't and kept going with a 20 million dollar debt and a desire to attack the party and presumptive nominee over the very rules he agreed to, he probably wouldn't even be able to keep his seat in Illinois.
But Hillary's a Clinton and the Clintons own the party. Of course, they're also one of the main reasons I never joined the Democrats, but whaddya gonna do? I'm sure the party needs them more than me.0 -

So it's ok? If Obama supporters would be doing the same thing, then they would be just as wrong. My whole life

i believe this is correct... they also have to reunify the party which is what they are trying to do by her calming down and not going psycho anymore0 -

I tend to agree, but the problem is that a lot of her supporters don't know that. I have an annoying "friend" who sends me all sorts of e-mail forwards. I know he is a diehard Clinton supporter, and he is still sending all that anti-Obama crap out.My whole life

This i'm not so sure about. She isn't being negative because it hasn't done her any good and has, in fact, hurt her. Se will never exit politely or quietly. Not now, not on June 4, not ever. Thats why she's out screaming some laughable bullshit about how the FL and MI situation is comparable to the abolitionist movement, the civil rights movement and black and female suffrage movements. Its why she has supporters storming DC.

You've got to be kidding me. This isn't the civil rights movement and hilary clinton is no Dr. King.
At this point i see no reason to prolong this thing for the sake of the party when she is so determined to tear it apart. For the sake of the party they need to step in and call this thing right now, no matter how pissed she gets. Fuck her."When all your friends and sedatives mean well but make it worse... better find yourself a place to level out."0 -
Hillary is gonna go kicking and screaming.......Another habit says it's in love with you
