WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea launched a long-range Taepodong-2 missile and two small Scud-type missiles within a two-hour period, but the long-range missile appears to have failed, a diplomatic source told Reuters on Tuesday.

    Yeah, apparently the long-range missile blew up in the first phase of launch. A commentator on CBC yesterday made a good point ... Perhaps we should view this test as more of an indicator of North Korea's incompetance, and less as some kind of major threat.

    Testing allows them to perfect this rocket. They'll learn from thier mistake and the technology will be better the next time.
