If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.

he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd

Everyone should be made to watch 'Sane man' and to listen to 'rant in e-minor'. They should both be compulsory in schools.

Here's a question: What are you using your brains for to better humanity?
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

Thanks for pumping me full of sentimentality before bed, Bookie.

I don't mean to sound condescending. I mean... I'm not doing anything.

Spreading thoughts (which grow into actions) of hope, good will, peace, love, compassion, acceptance and understanding to the people we encounter throughout life. In the end, it's all we really can do. :)

I think I do that already. Just with a different 'ideology' I s'pose.

I was thinking you probably did, too.

    How do you interpret this?

    You think it's fictional
    Mystical? Maybe
    Spiritual
    Hearable
What appears in you is a clearer view cos you're too crazy
    Lifeless
To know the definition for what life is
    Priceless

5 points for the band name, and 5 points for the track title.

  • I had to cheat to get the title but I knew it was the Gorillaz because I bought their dvd used at a record store a few months back and really liked it. I can't say I have given the lyrics too much thought because their videos are so entertaining. :p What do you get out of it, Ahnimus?

Good one. I'm not sure exactly, but it's been in my head since last night and I haven't even listened to it for a while. The song is a real earworm!

I sampled the "It's just a ride" speech in one of my songs.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
