I did a little research and it looks like you have until one month or so before the presidential election to register to vote in it.

does anyone know if that is fact or not? i was getting some county websites and stuff from like 2004 so not totally sure.

check your local voter registration... every state has different rules... in my state you can walk-in and vote the day of the election

Every state does have different rules. There should be an office in your county government that deals with voting. You can look it up on a variety of websites. I know in Georgia everytime I move I have to change my drivers license to reflect my new address and also change my voting registration which will change my polling location. This takes about a month or so... it should be instantaneous, but hey it's government 5 people have to put thier stamp on it to ok it when 1 would suffice.

You should be able to search your home state/county and voting and find out how to go about making the change. Usually you have to do it in person.

    good luck.
