I opened up.

Like a surgeon, I exposed things
That I never meant for you to see.

And there you sat, alone, cold...

I was there, but you did not see me
I had arms, but they could not hold you.

And we pretend...

For ourselves? For each other?
For some sense of decorum?

Now I see the outlines of my reality.

I offered you everything I am,
And you wanted nothing.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    At least, now I know...

    Ultimately, as much as I want her, if she doesn't want me back, it's not good for me anyways.

    The tough part is, IF she wanted me as much as I want her... *bliss*

    The stupid part of course is that your head might think it knows what's good for you but your "heart" is going to keep on feeling what it's feeling.

    I sometimes wish I could write poetry. I felt like responding to this poem with another poem, but I can't, so I have to settle for lame comments.
