Maybe if
I just quietly crumble
no one will notice?
I could stand behind a giant tree
then no one would see
maybe if I just fall apart
a tiny piece at a time?
wear my heart away slowly
with a fine piece of sandpaper?
it’ll just be gone
so quietly
it’d be no trouble to anyone
