there are times when you have to wonder what it is that someone else can do instead of putting the onus on yourself...because two people have to drive on the same street and meet in the middle...sometimes, people take a turn too soon...and that's shitty...you don't have to chase them down...

That's true, but I think there are others that for whatever reason, need the other person to pull them out of themselves.

a person has to be able to do it for him/herself before anyone else will make a difference - knowing that someone WILL help them should be enough...if they can't or won't do it on their own...then there isn't much you can do.

I think as long as people are still pushing and pulling each other, it's fine. You never know what another can do, people can surprise you.

i totally agree.
i think people do need to know you will be there for them if they need it. and knowing if they choose to make that step then you will be there to catch them or bounce off. they have to trust in you. but ultimately it's their decision to make.

Even if they know you WILL be there when they need it, they DO want to make that step, sometimes other, unreasonnable, foolish, things hold them back

Instead they slip into questionnable situations

not all people know how to choose what's best for them atm.
