Really weird, i just noticed as i was reading this Mr Brownstone is playing in my ears (headphones). :)

Axl looked weird anyway, he looks like a junkie on the AFD sleeve, at least now he's lookin a bit healthier, lol.
  • If you had asked me at the time (from when I was 2 to the age of 11!!), I would have probably said Wham, Madonna, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Cindy Lauper, Queen and the list could be longer (oh and for my Italian friends: VASCO and LITFIBA)...Now I say:

    RHCP
    GNR
Bowie (Love it Love it Love it!)
    Cure
    U2
    Depeche Mode
    Dire Straits
    Pink Floyd

    Sorry more than 5!

It's unbelievable to me how many otherwise good songs during the 80's were ruined by overdone synthesizers. I always thought Journey's Separate Ways had a nice heavy groove to it but those synths make it unlistenable.

That being said, I think Bruce Springstein saved the decade with Born in the USA.

    Uh Stevie Ray Vaughan anyone?
    32 shows and counting...
  • Pixies
    Depech Mode
    Joy Division
    Green River
    Mother Love Bone
    Cure
    Queen
    Bauhaus
    Siouxie and the Banshees
    REM
Smashing Pumpkins (together since 88 I believe)
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    David Bowie
NICK CAVE AND THE MOTHER FUCKING BAD SEEDS

    and plenty more.

Pink Floyd sucked in the 80s. After Roger Waters quit... "Momentary.." was an okay record but very bland and "Division Bell" was more of the same with different production.
