my friend at work is starting a cheesy 80's piano ballad cover band and is asking me for suggestions on songs to play but all I can think of is Journey songs...

So what, in your opinion, is the cheesiest 80's Piano Ballad?
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

But that is so uncool that it's cool, and more so by sheer virtue of being sampled by Tupac. Hornsby has street-cred now.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue. I used to like it back in the day but now it is completely dead to me.
I smile, but who am I kidding...

Yea, and I saw some show on VH1 of the Crue on their Circus Tour or something and Vince Neil couldn't even huff and puff his way through it. He completely copped out and let the crowd take the hard parts. Sad.

"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I still really like that song - Cinderella were awesome.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

Cheesy and involves a piano, not an 80's tune. DQ'd.

Elton John did some cheesy stuff in the 80's, but it was too good to be mentioned here...
