Gonna have to go with "Love, Reign O'er Me", but feel free to dispute. NAIS is way up there. Can be live or studio.

i don't think anything is as good as mikes tone on the mad season's only album. it's your classic standard strat sound, very, very SRV like. definitely hear the influence there and the effects on that album were brilliant.

listen to the cleans on 'river of deceit', it is just absolutely beautiful and the overdriven tone on 'i don't know anything', gives me shivers.

I like his tone on both Ten and Mad Season, and his tone on everything in Almost Famous was superb.

mikes riffs are great on this album. You hear it in pieces in the PJ albums. Wish he could capture this again, I really like this sound!!! Feverdog aint too shaby either.

    newbie question, whats a clean?

Clean referring to the tone as in no overdrive or distortion. (Verse part in Yellow Ledbetter)
