People shouldn’t have their hopes up too much for this. Not that many PJ shows in October and Ames confirmed prices will be at or near market value
True, but what is market value honestly? Is Donkey Kong $1,375 like expresso beans says or $6,500 to $9,500 because those are the only two on eBay? Today will be the first indication of what is to come

What people list things for on Ebay isn't indicative of the actual value.  Kong has never sold for anything close to $6500.  I have seen listings where someone has a print for $1000.  Then you check sold items and that print sells for $80-100.
Kong sells for $1500-2000.  A bit more if it is the S/N version.

    Today's the day!
  • Another month of Ames trying to rip fools off. So glad to see Metallica fans not fall for their bullshit last month, for the most part. If only PJ fans could show a little restraint.

I did... they're pretty pricey.  If the price is too high they won't sell.  But no one is getting ripped off.

I agree...sure the prices are expensive, but they are in line with the sales that are viewable on www.expressobeans.com
As far as I can tell they aren't jacking the prices up over what it would sell for out in the digital world.  Perhaps other folks have seen something different.  If there is a particular poster that you are looking for I would check the expresso beans valuation and make the determination what your threshold is on paying.

Honestly it is all too rich for my blood...but I have enjoyed seeing what is being made available....

Curious if a Missoula pops on.  I bought one from them years ago at Flatstock.

Looks like I will be saving a bunch of cash.  Denver 98 for $1500.  That's funny.  Most of these are way over average prices.

Scored an East Troy 2003, hesitated on my '98 East Troy grail ($3k isn't crazy, but it's still $3k)

How much was the Chicago print?  It's already gone...   I can't believe the Maui print is $3500.  That's insane.

I must have lost over $30,000 in posters when my house burned down 10 years ago based on these prices ... :|

Thanks for putting that up.  They kind of did a slow roll out for a couple of minutes and I missed that.  I thought they would have put it up for $2000.  That's why I don't work for them!

$3500 for Maui 98 and someone grabbed it, wow. I grabbed a 2003 Noblesville.

I’d let my Maui go for less.

That it did.  As far as the 98's go it wasn't one of my favorites but if you went to the show and it has meaning then by all means, pick it up.
  • I wouldn't have paid $3k for that Chicago '98 print... it's definitely the one I wanted. I'll keep my ISO going for one of the other 1299 that were sold...

Wow.  Some expensive posters this month. I thought my paying $1000 for the 2003 Cincinnati in the last sale was a lot.

Goodness.....3 grand for that Chicago 98.  I may have pulled the trigger if it was 500 or less.  Kudos to them for selling it, though.
