She didn't die
Alongside
The rail trail

Bathed in the stream
Had space to scream

Somehow survived
Don't know why
Can't stop this cry

Now there's an empty space
Not filled with flowers
Marking lives erased

Blown aside
Forgotten in time

Somehow she
Made it inside
Lived to tell the tale

Of Indigenous hell

I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
Animals were hiding behind the Coral
Except for little Turtle
I could swear he's trying to talk to me
