Nice. Always, thought you had a SG. Anyway, post what you think of it vs. your tele.

Note: Hell doesn't allow instruments, keep that in mind. (from one lefty to another)
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Then I went to Guitar Center obviously and played a new sunburst American Deluxe into a Rivera Rake head a JCM 800 and a Vibrolux. I've decided, all things considered, I adore the S-1 switching and the American Deluxe in particular so that's still the one.

I finally had a chance to plug in an American Deluxe, with the cobalt pups and the S-1 switching. I absolutely love the tone of the pups in the normal mode, very true to the Strat heritage. But the S-1 does give so many more options... Very, very nice.

Glad you like the DigiVerb... it can be an overwhelming effedt to begin with, but after a while of fiddling with the knobs, you should find something usable. I found the spring reverb mode to be the least obtrusive, although mine is now set for a small Hall verb.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

The small hall is probably my favorite, if only because it's more natural than the "10 thousand slinkies in a steel cavern" spring reverb. There are so many reverbs in that thing it's not hard to find something really useable.

but I digress, have you ever seen a more beautiful left handed SG?

I did happen to see a lefty LP SG in Pelham Blue at this little hole in the wall of heaven store last weekend. It was quite nice, but I'm still a sucker for sunburst. If I got an SG I'd like it to be in Pelham Blue.

    Maybe Hell DOES have instruments!

When Exhausted and Puremagic walk in, They’re issued right handed guitars
When us rightys pull in, well get all left handed axes!

We’ll also each be issued the ultimate amp we always wanted after all those years,,,,, but in Hell, we don't get any cords!!

well, it shipped out today but i doubt i'll get it this week. i'm sad to see some of these pedals i worked so hard to collect going out the door though. but they really were just sitting on the shelf since the pods moved in.

I felt the same way when I sold off my odd pedals this summer to buy my Tele Deluxe. Weren't getting used, probably should go to a new home, but still hard to see them go...

    i kept:
    volume
    double muff
    modded small stone
    modded phase 90
    keeley BD-2
    DL4
    aphex acoustic xciter.

those are my main effects. i still have my vox wah, DOD analog delay, boss DS-1 and my homemade stuff because i modded them too much to want to sell. my pharaoh class A boost is too hurting to sell in good conscience.

i'll probably put my behringer rack compressor up pretty soon too though i'm reluctant because i *would definitely* use it if i ever player live again. but the chances of that happening are so slim.

the great pedal sell-off begins here.

Having been just looking at buying a boost, I bid $75 we'll see if it holds up

I think I'm going to end up having everything that Barber makes.

i bet it will. we'll know in a couple days.

i just don't use any of this stuff anymore and the sell-off will help pay for my resonator modifications and part of the SG.

is it a square neck or standard reso?

I've been thinking of buying a Regal. for some slide stuff and general blues.

I've really got to record some more stuff.

I'm probably going to order the Strat that I want pretty soon (it's only been a year now I've been saying that) and maybe a neck from USA Custom Guitars to bolt onto the peavy body for the time being. I'd like to have a guitar to experiment with, as I'd like to try out those Super 90 strat pickups from Harmonic design, and maybe some others.

Since I'll likely be keeping the LP studio I may upgrade those PU's too but that's down the road.

I really want a semi hollow too. If I do end up with a DOT like yours, the neck PU will be a P-90 and the bridge will be someones PAF or burstbucker.

All this is subject however to my decision to attend or not to attend broadcasting school to the tune of 10 grand.

that, and I'd like to get a private pilots license.

wow. those are cool plans all.

the reso's just a roundneck epi biscuit. it's already got the fishman active reso pickup in it and i'm waiting for the gibson mini-humbucker i've ordered.

If you can get the balance right with the fishman that should be outstanding.

Plugging in adds so much body and depth to the tone, it really helps out with the alternate tunings. DADGAD is very very fun.
