8 years ago today - SG's "King Animal"

Hello fellow fans,

Just a little thought today about the release of the last masterpiece from our greatly cherished Knights of the Soundtable. 8 years already... The day before they played at David Letterman's Late Show - for instance this amazing old tune https://youtu.be/4P_OmmCx00o
Wishing we could hear some new SG tunes in the future!

Like everyone else I'm bummed about how the whole thing ended.  I should be happy that that reformed, I caught 2 more shows, and enjoyed a new album.  All things we didn't think we were every going to get after 1997.
  • Broke out my King Animal pink RSD they did years ago. Even the demos are amazing! If anyone wants to hear them I’d be happy to share. Pretty sure it came with an mp3 download card.

I picked this and Koi No Yokan from Deftones up the same day. Love Deftones but was totally an afterthought. The Worse Dreams teaser they played had me totally hooked. Still holds up strong.

  • Great album....Worse Dreams, Bones of Birds and Attrition really stood out for me

I saw them in Louisville some time after release...they ended with Rowing and Ben just put his bass down and walked off stage at the end leaving massive feedback.  I miss that shit.

Ben is a force. An amazing bass player and such a presence on stage. Could barely take my eyes off of him.
