hard to believe the clippers lost Playoff P and seem to have gotten better.

    mind boggling.
And so good that Norman Powell had the best scoring average for a decent amount of the season until Harden overtook him in the final weeks.
Clippers may go far as long as they don't get hit with their usual playoff injuries.
A lot of people like them and perhaps this is their year. Would be wild if the Lakers and Clippers met in the conference finals.

Playoff James Harden will show up and they'll get bounced early.

the play-in between the hawks and heat was damn entertaining, even though I didn’t have a horse in the race.

it will probably be quite some time before I ever have my horse in the NBA playoffs.

Grizzlies looked TERRIBLE first 2 games.  They get a run and Ja gets hurt.  Shame but hes not built the same.

How is Holmgren, Skeletor a player in the NBA?

The Lakers should have never traded away Caruso.

They'd have gone 82-0 each of the last 4 seasons and swept their way 16-0 to 4 more titles if they kept him.
7 PPG scorers are tough to find in the NBA.

Hoping MN can close out the Lakers tomorrow night. The 2 stars, no bench play or big man isn't feasible for LA even if they somehow did pull off 3 in a row. Luka is dead weight on defense. They could have easily been ahead in the series if they still had AD and Reaves was stepping up to support James on offense.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Totally agree with you.

Way too much iso ball with Luka doing step back threes and being a liability on defense. Minnesota will play OKC in the west finals.

assuming AD wasn’t in street clothes.

Knicks had them.  Any word on Brunson? Is he injured?
Pacers and Haliburton advance, good for them. The skirmish at the end of the game was uncalled for. I give props to Giannis for handling it rather well.
Nuggetts and Clippers is a better matchup then I'd have expected.  Kawhi looks good.  Joker however is a beast. Triple Double and Murray did some heavy lifting.
Edwards still doing his thing.  Luca is a nice add but no D.

I'm just busting your chops for your years long hard-on for Caruso.
He wouldn't do much to improve the Lakers. maybe they'd lose in 6 instead of 5.
Dude is a decent 8th or 9th option for a team.

    Lol fair enough.

All defensive team every year last two years though?  This will be his third. You need some defense and a sparkplug on your team.  He was that.  There is a reason why other teams want him.

Luca can't defend a trash can, he tries though.  LeBron plays some defense and the best defender they had was traded for Luca...The Lakers came into the playoffs with the WORST ranked defense in the league AND the worst 4th quarter performance.  Reddick has some work to do in the off season.

Speaking of defense.  See what Gobert did to the Lakers?  Dude more than doubled his season avg point total.  Instead of Edwards stepping on their necks he did.

Edwards confuses me too sometimes.  I wonder if he goes out partying the night before because some days he is just flat off.

GS and Houston.  GS looked lost without Curry.  Jimmy Buckets couldn't do it.  3 after 3 after 3 they missed and then couldn't do a layup... I had to turn the game off it was that bad.

That Thompson kid for Houston is a beast though. Defensive rock. Did anyone on Houston have a scorer averaging above 20?  This would be the little tough team like a Pistons team to advance further.  It'll be interesting against a better team.

The Lakers needed Mark Williams not Caruso. As you said, Rudy Gobert looked like Wilt against them. Rescinding that trade killed any chance they had to make a run this year. If they don't add some size in the offseason (a guy like I don't know Anthony Davis), then they are just as fucked next year.
