    Wemby debuts tonight

saw this other day, was like holy shit that’s gonna make dudes think, wow

    hes had good preseason
His preseason was ok, not good...

Irvings first shot of the game he blocked.  Iwas like ok here we go... Only block of the game.  He scored 15.  He wasn't as dominant as the hype would be.

He's young.  I'll give him time.  I still think he will be a good player, not dominant.
So you're basing this updated assessment after his... first game? Good of you to give him some time though. lol

I didn't see it but 15 points in 23 minutes while being in foul trouble all game doesn't sound too bad for an NBA debut.
Ummm I said hed be good?  I watched his preseason, watched other film too. So not just one game...

Hmmm no, good and ok are not the same thing.  Tell your friend that or google the definitions.

I've said I don't see him being great when watching the preseason stuff.  Haven't changed my stance so if being consistent is "that guy" then ok Hoss.

I didnt say Great, where you could have interjected and showed contrast. If your not up to snuff , just say so, ill formulate my responses with that in mind

Do we really need to look up the definitions between good and ok?

I don't see him as being a generational player like people are saying.  I don't see it.

He is on the best team to polish his skills though. Pop is perfect for him as a mentor.

I mean the kid is 19. His first exposure to playing NBA basketball. It's going to take some time for his skills to fully develop, as well as his body to fill out.
Kobe wasn't exactly the Black Mamba right out of the gates as a teenager. He averaged 7.6PPG his first year.

Wemby will be a superstar in a couple years assuming he stays healthy.

You think so though? I wouldn't mind being wrong but I just don't see it.

I remember Kobes first year and thought he was horrible.  He also was the only one wanting to take the shot in the playoffs and launching airballs.

His size and skill level are a rare combo. I think he'll end up as a dominant force in the league, but not for a couple of years.

    Between he and Kyrie...

How many other players wanted to be traded?
Simmons, AD, PG3, CP3, Dame, Kawhi.  Whom am i missing?

Dame had a legit reason to leave.

I would expect Zion asking soon too.

Zion shouldn't ask for a trade. The only thing that keeps the Pelicans from being competitive is ...checks notes...Zion unable to play due to injury.
When he's healthy (all 14 days a year), they are a pretty solid team.
Zion, Ingram & McCollum is a decent core.

I seriously think he's not playing because he doesn't like the organization.  CP and AD were there and bolted.  Seems to me that it's not run well?

I giggled at the 14 days thing, lol.

The Pelicans are 59-58 when he actually plays and 82-112 in games he does not since he entered the league in 2019.

They definitely weren't being run well when Paul was traded to the Clippers. That was when the NBA took over the organization because they were losing money and the majority owner couldn't sell the team.

For AD I thought they righted the ship management wise, they just weren't good. I think they made the playoffs twice with him and he wanted to play for rings.
