On to Round 2 to determine the GREATEST song on the album 'Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd
Eliminated Round 1 - Speak To Me, Any Colour You Like, and Money
For anyone new to the game:
You are going to pick the song that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 3 days I remove the three (3) songs with the most votes.
We will then move on to Round 3 - Remember you are voting to eliminate songs from contention.
Lets have fun with this. Remember debating and discussing why your right and others are wrong is always fun.

The Great Gig In The SkyEver been in a restaurant trying to enjoy a meal and there’s that screaming, wailing child that makes 2 minutes of obnoxious crying seem like a fucking eternity? The Great Gig In The SkyLooking close so far. Should be interesting.

On The RunI have to vote out On The Run.
However..Great Gig was an extremely close contender, but the piano really helped save it for me. Plus it's trippy as Hell. The vocal notes in Great Gig certainly do hit notes of discord that hurt my ears at several points :not_listening: however the build up and flow and otherwise pure awesomeness of that song saved it for me.

On The Run
A doozy of a 1-2 punch.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:
I think so. If Brain Damage and Eclipse were combined I think that would make it a very hard choice.23scidoo said:Time will be easy winner..0 -
On The RunVery difficult because I love the song.It perfectly captures that moment at the beginning of a trip when things start to get really crazy- that transition when you realize you're leaving reality.0

Hard to figure that one out. I'm thinking that we may like it? :i_dunno:josevolution said:Three posters voted for Us & Them wtf2014: Cincinnati

Us And Them
I voted for "Us and Them" for the same reason I voted for "Money." Both are amazing songs, but they just don't jibe with the overall soundscapes present on the rest of the album. ("Us and Them" is closer than "Money," but it still sticks out a bit.) I think that's why they're placed as the first two tracks on side 2. "Any Colour You Like" brings the album back on track sonically.deadendp said:

"Money" and "Us and Them" seem like the result of that old Tom Petty lyric: "Their A&R man said, 'I don't hear a single.'"

Us And ThemThree posters voted for Us & Them wtfGreat song (great fucking album!) but I like it less than the other songs. Isnt that what this poll is for?On the Run, which seems to be the popular kick-dog this round, holds a special place in my young man acid days. Played that shit over and over.

Us And ThemSurprised to see Money eliminated last round. I guess it suffered from "that song's popular and I'm too cool to like the popular song" syndrome.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Us And Them
Would seem so - drugs are the reason I love OTR. Were it not for them I would likely rank U&T higher. (Or perhaps would not have listened to this record as frequently altogether)ed243421 said:Isn’t us & them more popular than on the run?
