NoToday no but in 93 yes.NYPJ0

Today yes since they’re stable and professional.
In 93 tho when everyone besides Axl was on heroin probably not. And he had his own issues obviously. Not a good idea to have PJ tour with the circus back then.0 -
YesYes. Would've been a ridiculous concert card.

NoThat's what I thought was great about PJ.
I loved the dignity aspect of Pearl Jam, still do, as much as anything. U2 was cool, but they didn't really need to hang out with U2 to get noticed. And I agree that G&R we're too drugged out at the time.
I Agree not then not now.

NoRetrospectively, I think that PJ made the good choice regarding their career and that such a tour would have not bring an added-value.
Soundgarden opened for GnR in Europe in 1992 and I don’t think that it had helped them to extend their fanbase or to sell more records.2012 : Amsterdam 2

They did play with u2 in 1993 in Italy & as for playing with GNR if you have the super deluxe of Superunknown Chris Cornell said that what GNR were doing was what they had no way of following thatEastern Creek 95,Syd 1 98,Bris 2 98, Syd 1&2 03, Reading Fest 06, Bris 1 06, London 09, Hyde Park 10, Gold Coast BDO 14 Budapest 22 Krakow 22 Amsterdam 22 St Paul 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 24 New York 1 24 Philly 1&2 24 Boston 1&2 24 Gold Coast 24 Melbourne 1 24 Sydney 1&2 240

YesAlmost had a heart attack when I read the heading on teletext 'GNR planned tour with Pearl Jam' (dont care about u20Kearnsy0

GN'R was a shit show back then due to all the drugs and Axl being Axl. Glad Pearl Jam stayed away from it.

Considering the onstage rant Axl would read from his teleprompter nightly on the UYI tour about U2, I have serious doubts about the veracity of a story that he wanted to tour with them.
I call bullshit on Goldstein.
And if GnR and U2 had agreed to tour together, Pearl Jam opting not to join them as the opening act would not have kiboshed the tour.
I call double bullshit on Goldstein.

And no. Never been a GNR fan. U2/PJ would be awesome, though!

Don't knowIt might of been cool as a one off event, but not as a tour. PJ already took the fork in the road by '93 where they did their own thing, so it's not surprising to hear the band's manager decline it. I imagine his job back then was a helluva lot of "no"
PJ was already big enough to do their own tours. They were really big in '93. As a one off event it would of been cool, but as a tour. I think they needed to go about it on their own.
If they did do it as a one off what order do they go in. In my experience you want to go the most mellow to the hardest rockers. GNR and PJ both rock pretty hard. GNR was insanely big back then too. I probably would of said U2, PJ, GNR, but there's no way U2 would be willing to play 1st.. lol.

Could care lessI was not quite one year old yet sooo....0

NoI think Ed especially was trying to avoid the big stage and the attention. Don’t think he woud have fit in back then. Ed now, maybe. He seems more comfortable in his own skin............and Evelyn ❤️0

NoAt the time, I would have loved to have seen it, but it probably was the right choice in retrospect. Eddie may have killed himself dealing with that hype train. He had a hard enough time dealing with U2, throw in the GNR circus and it would have got nasty.1993-08-12 - Edmonton, AB, Convention Centre

NoThey'd still be waiting for Axel to "be in the mood" to take the stage...at the first show of the tour....
