so this would be my "ultimate" triple bill:

Band Of Horses next and plays for about 1.5 hours
My Morning Jacket gets a nice 2.5 hour headlining set...
and the show is at Red Rocks!!

Dave, I see you’re in Columbus. I was first introduced to J Roddy by CD101 and saw them at one of their multi-band deals at promowest and then again at A&R Bar...blew me away both times. Also saw them as the first act of the day on one of the main stages at Coachella (went in way earlier than I wanted to just to see them). Fucking love those guys! I was also at the MMJ/BoH show at promo, which I’m guessing you were too. Hope all is well in central Ohio!

    Great question, Jose!

My picks for a triple bill:

    Dinosaur Jr
    Pearl Jam
Neil Young and Crazy Horse (not likely to happen but also not officially broken up... I hope!)

My first J Roddy Walston & The Business show was a CD101 (CD102.5 now) Low-dough event at The Newport...GREAT time and perfect place for J Roddy.
They opened their tour for the new record here at Express LIVE (You probably know it as The LC) last year with a CD102 Trust Us series show...tickets were only $10.25, but you didn't find out who the headliner was until the show sold out. We kind of figured out who it was & bought tickets right away. They were on fire that night!!!

AND...YES...I was at the MMJ/BoH show at The LC as well.
Wouldn't miss a chance to see my #2 & #3 bands playing together.
Did you make it to the PJ / BoH show at Nationwide in 2010???
That is still one of my FAVORITE hometown shows ever!!

And that poster is on the entrance wall of EL.  It's GIANT!

The September show was awesome, but I admit that the lil June 2014 show at Musica in Akron was even better.  I would say that it would be because I didn't have a Tinder date going on next to me, but I guess J Roddy brings out the amorous nature in folks.  We had a couple pair up next to us at the Akron show who definitely just needed a room.  My poor husband.  :fearful:

I haven't quite figured out the happy combo yet, but The National and Natalie Merchant are spinning around in my head.

I know all the names have changed, but I'm old school! Yep, I was at that 2010 show and agree it was great...downloaded the boot the day it was available. Sadly, I missed Mike's pre-opener because my brother was talking to a girl at a bar and we didn't get there in time. No good story like it ended up becoming his wife, but this did give me something to chat with Mike about at his book signing last year haha. I actually took that day off work and saw BoH in the CD101 Big Room which at that time was still the super tiny room at the old station; it was awesome! Too bad Ben didn't come out for Hunger Strike like NYC got a couple weeks later!

P.S. The poster looks great...wish I'd have gotten that one!

The Weepies would be good for The National...
and Jeremy would be good for Natalie.

If I was doing my ultimate solo artist triple bill,
I'd take Jeremy Enigk to open
    Glen Hansard up next
and an EV solo set to headline
This show would have to be at The Ryman!!!

    I'd go with:
    Day 1:
    Opener: Jack Johnson
    Middle reliever: U2
    Closer: Pearl Jam

    Day 2:
    Opener: Jack White
    Middle Reliever: RATM
    Closer: Pearl Jam
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

I saw Mastadon open for Queens in 2000 at a small club in Tallahassee Florida.

I think it was the original singer though.
