As someone who waited ever so impatiently for guys like bryant and Russell to make the show, I can say that someone doesn't think he's ready. If they did, he would have been in the lineup on April 21.
Our ownership is not as smart as the Cubs' brass.  Clearly!  :)

Didn't the A's groom him before he was traded to the Cubs?  Russell that is?

He came from the As. But spent over a year and a half in the Cubs minor league system before they brought him up.

That makes sense.  I have his 2013 card as an A's.

Tell me about it...  I went to see a movie yesterday and forgot to look at my team and change some people around and Healy, whom I wanted in, hits 2 damn homers...  Would have put me in the W column a few times with his performance.

Looking back i probably should have traded Kershaw when someone wanted him.  I thought my pitching was going to be great but they have for the most part sucked.  I would I say I should stick to fantasy football but my degenerate fantasy football team wasn't that good either

Not a boston fan so wasn't really thinking about him but he dropped down late in the first round so i had to take him. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

the agony that can be Fantasy Baseball....
Yesterday in my matchup I was looking for Bundy to bounce back.  He gives up 7 runs w/o getting an out.
What did my opponent have?  A no hitter.

Long season, no need to get caught up in one day...but it will grind on ya a bit if you let it.

Yeah, Goldy has been really, really bad as a choice for FB this year.

I did horribly (so far) on my top 2 picks.

Bryant - 67th (13th pick, first pick of Rd 2)
Correa - 80th (12th pick, last pick of Rd 1)

They will do better as the days and months go by...but stink for top 2 picks so far.

There are an awful lot of Top 10 at their position guys who are due to bottom out.  Some will stick, but some will sink.

Bryant wasn't so hot last year either.  I think he was top 10 in only 1 category?

Kyle Seager and Bregman are both having slow starts for me too.

Kole Calhoun has forgotten how to hit altogether...
  • F Me In The BrainF Me In The Brain Posts: 31,261
Yeah I was betting on Bryant being more like an MVP than an overhyped dude.  He has hit well lately so maybe he has a strong 2nd half.

    my top two draft picks:

Clayton Kershaw-  His ERA and WHIp and K's are pretty solid but his record sucks at 1-4

Frank Rizzo- Traded him in the beginning of the season (which looking at his stats was pretty smart on my part since he's apparently not doing so hot) along with another pitcher for Votto and Chase Anderson.

    My team still sucks though.

  • Amazing trade offer I got today:

    Blake Snell
    for Gleyber Torres

A top 10 pitcher for a guy who has been good, but statistically is not even a top 50 batter over the last 30 days.
    What.  The.  Fuck.

Also, I place a higher premium on top SP at this point in the season since it is more of a crap-shoot in the draft -- now you know.  Dude is a boss.

I feel you. Donaldson just got sidelined for another 3 weeks and Sanchez is on the DL now too which actually might be a good thing... he's fucking stunk this year.

The silver lining for me is that they all happened around the same time so it could all be over late next week.  With short injuries you dont want to dump a guy so it is great fortune for the teams I play this week and next.
Donaldson and Sanchez are tough to go w/o but I hear you on potential benefits!

Of course, that and $2.00 will get me a bottle of water.
