Fan Club Pickup and GA Admission

Hi All!

This is the first year I've won tickets for the General Admission, standing room only section of a show. I know we pick up our tickets the day of the show, but wondering if anyone has any advice on what time to arrive to make sure I get a good spot (meaning as close to the stage as possible ). I have this horrible vision of the doors opening and fighting a herd of running fans for a good spot.

Any advice or heads up about how this works would be much appreciated!

thats right! keep your eye on the prize..sight your spot and head straight for it..run as fast as you can...and breathe when you ger there..keep your footing...no harm done...

Lost In Ohio

For the NYC and Philly shows, get in the line the night before. For the other shows, early that AM should do the trick.

You'll be allowed out of line for brief food and bathroom breaks. Get the food carryout and eat in line. Two or three breaks between eight am and doors is probably enough. Talk to people around you and let them know you're leaving. They'll hold your spot if you do the same.

Try to get in line with your ticket buddy. Many buddies arrive late, but try your best to get there together. If you're #10 at 8 am, it's possible you could be #15 by 4 pm. Whatever you do, DON'T be the person looking for a GA ticket while in line. Just no.

There is absolutely no "holding spot" for items. If you have cards, chairs, etc, take them back to your car or dispose of them before you go in. It was suggested that someone was going to get a truck to collect chairs for a local thrift store so people wouldn't have to take their $10 chairs back to their cars, but this was only one city and IDK if it ever happened.

Anyway, try to wait as long as possible to get your tickets. The longer you wait, the quicker that goes. You'll get a ticket to get you in the building and a wristband for the pit. The wristband must be worn and shown with the ticket for the pit.

When the doors open, there is absolutely no running. Security reserves the right to pull people out of line if anyone runs. Everyone walks up in a calm and orderly fashion.

However...if you don't want to wait from 8 am or the night before, you can still get within the first 6-7 rows or much better if you go in the main doors when they open. The special GA entry is not an early entry.

Do GA ticket holders not get to go into venue 30 minutes before everyone else? Thats what the 10C policy states.

This is the best GA advice I'v seen here and should be stickied.
Dont fall prey to "the list" people either. They're, what we call in the business, selfish douche bags. Numbers, clipboards, sharpies, paper, organized...it's all bullshit. Don't truss 'em.
It's a line. You're either in it or you're not in it.
