What's that movie that had a young Sting?

Oh, and the criminally underrated by numbers is 2nd.

Quadrophenia....it's the only Who album I really like. Who's Next has plenty of classic tracks, but I just pick random tracks from the rest of their catalog.

Depends on the mood I'm in. Who's Next, Live at Leeds, Quad. InHiding is spot on--By Numbers is great. I've been listening to it a lot lately. Still love Tommy after all these years.

Live at Leeds was the first Who album I bought besides a best of. Recently bought Who's Next which I'm really digging! I love 'My Wife' and 'The Song is Over'.

Looking at getting Quadrophenia next. Saw a really good documentary about it recently.

I agree, it's a great album. But it's a Pete Townshend solo album, not a Who album.

Now if you're talking about the guy who posts here . . .

Lifehouse would have been one the greatest albums of all time if Pete didn't have a nervous breakdown and abort it. Instead we got Who's Next which is about 1\3rd of the music that would have made up Lifehouse.

Who's Next is one of the most popular Who albums but many people aren't aware that it started out as another double concept album. Pete abandoned the complicated story of Lifehouse and followed up with the straightforward one of Quad.

The one with Baba O'Reilly on it I suppose, whichever that is, since that's the only Who song I can name off the top of my head that I like (not a fan of The Who).

    laying on my bed
    in the newly morning grass
    rain's coming down
but i know the clouds will pass

    you bring me tea
    say the babes are sleeping
    lay down beside me
    love ain't for keeping

    black ash from the foundry
    hangs like a hood
    but the air is perfumed
    by the burning firewood

    the seeds are bursting
    the springs are seeping

    lay down my darling

I'm pretty partial to the Isle of Wight 1970 material. My favorite versions of My Generation and Water are on there. I just liked the vibe of that show.
