  • Pretty sure they were speaking American
  • Anyone catch the Tea Party's anti-Iran deal rally featuring Trump, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, the Duck Dynasty dude, Glen Beck, et. al? If so, can someone please translate their message for me? I don't think they were speaking American. Thanks.

    it was pretty much

Good opinion piece in foreign policy magazine tearing down Cheney's speech at the AEI. More hypocrisy and an ongoing commitment by the Cheney clan to try to clean up their legacy. https://foreignpolicy.com/2015/09/08/dick-cheney-hypocritical-speech-aei-iran-deal/

What do you expect from someone who received six draft deferments during the Vietnam War, worked for the Nixon Administration, chose himself to be Vice President of the US as chair of Bush's VP search committee and walks out to give a "major" policy speech wearing a white cowboy hat like he's the Lone Ranger? He'd be better served and maybe respected working for the Pittsburgh Pathetics. Excuses? Didn't they used to be jeans?

For a group of people who are all about peace and love and inclusion. You sure do spew a lot of hate toward conservatives and republicans.
You do realize that makes you half of the fucking problem right.
If you sit back and look at your partisan rhetoric from and outsiders view, you would see how hypocritical it looks. But hey,it's a free country.Carry on do no wrong super Dems.

Damn Rod,you coulda got all that into one post.lol
As a matter of fact,as I've stated before.I support the deal.As of now anyway.I am hoping the youth of Iran can find its voice and push out the religious hardliners with a little boost from no sanctions.Even though the death to America chants and rhetoric make me want to see a bullet in the fuck tard Supreme Ayatollahs head.Im in for now.

Cheney is a douche.Cotton is a waste. And no I did not think the invasion of Iraq was justified on fabricated Intel even at the time. Not our best moment for sure.

I was however all for Special forces doing some selective removals of key al-Qaeda and Taliban personnel and was fine with certain bombing runs in Afghanistan.

We destabilized the area for no reason. We should have left the Baathist leadership in place. At least we control things better then and the Johnny come lately Islamic extremist would still be in the wood work.

Don't confuse my fiscal conservative Independant stance with being inline with The Religious right or lock step with Republican Party .I am my own man.I think and choose based on issues not party.
And you liberals are just as fucking whacked as the far right.Except they hate in the open, you guys do it under cover of the night. You Libs might be more judge mental to ideas that aren't in line with yours then they are.(See any of the racially charged cop threads)

And aren't you guys all pulling for a fucking self proclaimed socialist this election? Good Grief.Im glad no communists are running.

No way, we wouldn't want labor unions, work safety regulations, minimum wages, labor laws, tenant laws, Social Security, safe food and drugs, or public lands...that would be downright unamerican.
Do you have any idea what this country was like before Socialism made it the greatest nation? Obviously not.

You mean like child labor laws, work place safety regulations and the emergence of unions that came lock step with the industrial revolution?
Your right my bearded friend,I am not a studied historian of the economic building blocks of this country,My knowledge is not on par with those of you who spent years studying the nuisances of where some of what we practice today had its roots.I never claim more, although I do love those shows on Nat Geo,History,etc..lol

But my prospective is from the buisness side of things as you know.I deal with SS issues, wage issues, not much Union stuff because we are a right to work state, insurance protocols and about a zillion other laws and regs We have to navigate all the time.

you kinda missed my point.I wasn't arguing about where those improvements came from,I'm acknowledging. My point is it is part of now a bigger more complex capitalistic society that would not benefit from more socialist ideas. It would not help us move forward.Imo it's the last thing we need.

No no no. The history of workers rights has been a fight, nothing was ever given. Concessions were only made when things were pushed to the very brink of chaos.

I understand that navigating a business is difficult, but it is difficult because of the excesses of capitalism, which forced the socialist changes.
The middle class didn't even exist until socialism came on the scene, and ever since Milton Friedman jerked the .01% off the middle class has been shrinking.
That is bad economics, the people need to have spending power, and the forces of capitalism seek to prevent that.

Anyways, this is the Iran Deal thread lol

Wait, you know he's literally an independent right? He just caucuses with the dems. He's the longest running independent member of congress. What makes him independent is irrelevant to my point.

And aren't you guys all pulling for a fucking self proclaimed socialist this election? Good Grief.Im glad no communists are running.

Wait I'm confused, you're first criticizing the majority of people on here for siding with the democrats all the time and not thinking independently, then you also criticize us for wanting to vote for someone that is an independent and often disagrees with the majority of democrats?
Sanders is no independent. The reason he dosent always follow the Dems is because he is much farther left.He makes Hillary look like a neo con.
    hillary is a neocon.

votes for war, votes for patriot act, etc etc.
yup. the new boss will be the same as the old boss....who was the same as the boss before him. I know you don't feel that way about obama on all issues, but as far as foreign policy goes, subtle differences are not enough.
The Iran deal is a positive and I give Obama props for that, but I think it will only delay the inevitable.

i don't think i would call war inevitable at this point. i think it is a good thing any time you can delay/prevent a war.

hillary is sinking in the polls. sanders is significantly ahead in early primary states, and he is polling better than most republicans. bernie did not vote for war, so that is a start at least.
