  • How much do you think it could fuck up an ecosystem? Yea it'll disturb something. But do you think it can cause extinction? This could bring the price of metals down drastically.

reminds me of bottom trawling fishing where giant ass nets drag the ocean floor just screwing shit up for long periods of time as well as bringing up all those fish, other aquatic critters, coral & ruining reefs. many fish brought up they don't even want or can not use & then most die & fisheries go to hell

sure here they are mining the deep, deeper than where nets go i am sure of that, i could be wrong. its just another way to rape the planet.

in the video above they are talking about working at 1,600 meters down. so 0.994194 mile deep.
important organisms for the ocean down there

nice job you shitheads. (super) trawlers are fucked & now here comes mining. scary

If you don't know by now that it's all about $, not life...
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Mining companies will fuck every square inch of this planet if given the chance. The answer is not more mining- the answer is more reusing, more recycling, and more importantly, making things durable and most importantly, using less.

It is sad, i_lov_it, and that greed it catching up with us. I recently read yet again the statistic that each year humans use 50% more natural resources than Earth can sustain and by 2030 we may be using twice of what it can sustain*. Sobering thoughts.

so i ponder a great deal on different topics from spiritual to our concept of time to environmental issues to a pot of ham & beans cookin on a stone & red clay moonshine still wood-fired-furnance out in the timber on some mountaintop to bullshit politicians dodging & weaving questions like a snowshoe hare zigzagging from winter's lean ass lynx

what happens after folks have drained resevoirs of crude oil? aren't we mining everywhere, making hallow ass interiors under our feet? nice job. i do not believe even so called educated people w/ fancy degrees like engineers know what the fuck is going on. deep water oil drilling is a great example of stupidity. imagine when the oil drilling in the arctic has a catastrophic event. nice job, fuckers

coal mining... fuck they do some ridiculous damage to the land: springs dry up, ponds & lakes vanish almost over night, highways cave in, polluted water & air, & houses are knocked off their cracked foundations.

mining a mile under the surface of the ocean. nice fucking idea
