Just came across an article about Elliot Smith (tomorrow being 10 since his death) that mentioned Pearl Jam covering his songs. I hadn't ever heard of that so I googled it and while PJ never covered him (I didn't think they had) but it did say that Can't Keep was about Elliot. Anybody else know that or confirm that?

    the performance of Can't Keep is dedicated to Elliott on the Benaroya Hall benefit concert album from 2003. it was the day after Eliott Smith died.. but i don't think it's actually about him..

    Ah, that makes sense. The article mentioned Benaroya so that's just what I was trying to figure out. Thanks for the reply.

    Relating to this song, i think we might see it played this tour, in fact i was hoping for it in wusster or brooklyn. With seemingly 7 songs dedicated to playing slow stuff (3 to open, 4 seated during encore1), i thought this would be a natural fit to work back into the pj rota.
