Daniel LaPlante, a convicted murderer who killed three people more than 20 years ago, converted to the neo-pagan Wiccan faith some time ago. However, LaPlante is now suing MCI-Norfolk prison in Massachusetts, where he's currently incarcerated, saying the facility has failed to provide him with sundry items he needs to properly practice his faith, including ritual oils such as "dragon's blood" and honeysuckle. He also needs his medallions and, most importantly, cake, which is used to "excite the senses" during rituals. See, the Massachusetts Department of Correction always serves LaPlante the SAME cake, which puts a damper on his ceremonies. He has requested a different cake for each month, including carrot cake, known to Wiccans as "Wolf Ice."
