I think you should share with everybody if you have a solution. There are many lurkers here, people who aren't even part of the fan club who read this forum. I'd bet there's someone reading this right now hoping you'll share.0 -

Ok.. Here's how you fix this.. In a standing situation..
When the dog approaches, he will in one of two manners..
Amorous or assertive.. And just because it starts out assertive
Does NOT mean it will remain so. For an amorous advance...
In a standing ( human) position. The dog will advance almost
agressively staring at the object he intends to hump..
Usually a leg. Just before he gets to it, he'll pause a second and sniff.
You have to catch the dog on the advance and up to the sniff.. You
Advance forward telling the dog no. Demand he either sit or lie
Down. Lying down is best because it's a more vulnerable
Position. Everytime the dog gets up, re command the order to lie
down.. Once you feel the dog is calm and back to sorts,
Allow them to get up.
Sitting. If you are sitting and your dog advances on you Amorously,
Stand up and repeat the above steps.
For an agressive or assertive advance.. YOUmove forward.
Back the dog up. Then command a sit or down. Again
Do not let him move Til you say so.. Also.. Practice border stays.
When you go in it out of the house.. The dog must remain
At the door till you say he can move. You always go in first,
You ways go out first. Even when my dogs are going out into
The backyard alone.. I make them wait for varying times.. Then
Allow them to exit or enter.. This establishes them following
You. Good luck!!0 -
