What a racist comment. Of course we are to afraid to call it like it is because he is black and therefore apparently permitted to make over-generalized racist comments.
If all you have to talk about is that Obama shouldn't be president because he is black or that white people won;t vote for Obama because he is black, then just do us all a favor and shut the hell up.
And Gimmie - you are dead on about Ed, he is exactly the same as the blowhards on the right. It;s too bad that you still watched it and then took what you saw on it and support it though.
I'm sure their are racists in the republican party and I'm sure there are in the democratic party as well.

Hahahaha, I let my comment get away from me. I actually knew that!!! That;s what you get when you type things, change things, type them, etc....I was trying to say that because he is commenting about white racist it's ok to over-generalize.
Thanks for pointing that out though so I could make it clearer. Colin Powell is black right? Same with Obama?

well ... i've always contended that racism is a much larger problem than anyone wants to admit ... the continual denial of this is not going to make it better - in fact, it is making it worse ...
having said that - we can look at this story and try to take what the crux of the issue is and consider it or we can choose to do what we often do ... pick up on semantics and ignore it altogether ...

Yep, white people in America are just so victimized.
For anyone to claim that racism against ethnic minorities exists in America is just...sooo racist.
I think voter statistics show that the racists are mostly found among Obama's supporters.
is that right?
if that is true, then why did > 90% of africans americans not support herman cain? why didn't they support alan keyes? why did they not universally vote for jesse jackson in the 80s and 90s? why is alan west on the ropes in florida? there are a lot of african american voters in florida, and if they are all voting for west then why is west about to lose his seat???
"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
And I'd ask someone to backup their bullshit about how Obama supporters are the REAL racists, but if there was any proof of this... We'd have seen it long ago.
My comment was about the overwhelming percentage of African Americans who supported Obama in the last election. My understanding is that it was a distinctly higher percentage than typically vote democrat.
again....
obama shares > 90% approval among african american voters over romney.

I don't recall of the particulars, but none of those actually received their party's nomination for president, correct? Sadly, the number of people in general that participate in the primaries is not usually very representative of the entire population.
The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

Thanks for the great add to the discussion. And for proving my point.

Yeah, I don;t know. Obama is getting about 5% more of the african american vote then the democrats usually get. I do think that is part of it. Heck, I heard a discussion between to black guys about terrible it was that any balck person wouldn;t vote for Obama though. But that is just 2 people.
If you don't see it you're obviously not worthy of a response. I stole that from you.
Don't feed the trolls.
Always like when people call other trolls. Very mature. Seems that the Dems are the only ones who keep bringing up race, gender, sexual bias, etc. Stay away from the big issues that matter to the overwhelming majority of the country as a whole. Concentrate on those gay marriages tahtaffect 3% of the population. Kepp bringing shit like that to the forefront. :fp:
So the question is: are white people endorsing Mitt because he is white or for any other reason such as they agree with his view point.
honestly, I'm sure a lot of people are voting for Mitt because he is white.
How much is a lot?
What % of the white vote does Mitt get because he is white running against a black person? Is it the same % as black people voting for Obama because he is black?
Based upon historical data, I'd say that somewhere in the 5-10% range of african american voters are voting fro Obama because he is black and the only or the most prevelant reason. I wonder if it is higher for whites and Mitt? Off to the google machine!!
Conservatives seem to have such a high level of denial when discussing racism. Do people actually think that there is an equal proportion of racists in each group across the political spectrum?
You can read between the lines in a lot of conservative's criticism of Obama in the last 4 years. Yes, there's is subjectivity in my interpretation, but why didn't Republicans have to "take back the country" when Clinton was president? (just one example)
So unless I say everyone is a racist, you are just going to continue with the little and no actual comments?
If it's not worth getting into then stop posting smileys without comments.
hey ... i apologized ... what do you want?
it's just we've been through this ... you don't really think racism is a problem in the US ... i wholeheartedly disagree ... i can go on about how many racist bumper stickers i see down there but all you're gonna do is say it's not that big of a deal ... and we're at where we're at ...

It's just good science.
Now this post I like. Great style, great point.
But not all republicans are racist... And I think we've seen an awful lot of racism come from the Republican Party in the last 30-40 years or so.
As you were...

So let me ask you. Are black Republicans racist or are they just stupid? :corn:
no they are just republicans. the person didn't say that all reb. are racist.
Or because he's white and his opponent isn't.
I'm sure there are some.
?
sorry ... it's really not worth getting into ... i think we've beaten this horse enough ...
